When a catheter is inserted into the body, it becomes the responsibility of the surgeon to track its actual position. The process can be long using the traditional method where the surgeon must use x-ray or an MRI machine for scanning. With the device Dr. Saad Saad has created, surgeons will track the position of the catheter without scanning the patient.

 

The other invention that he has made is one where he has created a suction system to the endoscope so that the fluids which normally affect visibility can be removed. An endoscope is a visibility gadget which is used to view internal parts of the body.
